Hello everyone! Today we will take everyone on a one day trip to Udon Thani R2.
Today’s journey is full of excitement and knowledge waiting for us to discover. Each place we will go has an interesting story and is a part of the true Isan. Starting with a bright morning in Udon Thani with the intention of exploring the culture and nature of this city.

Starting from Khamchanot, a sacred place located on a floating island in the middle of the water, which is full of beautiful nature. The island has a naturally growing Khamchanot tree, which is considered an important tree in legend and is the origin of the name of the place. As we travel through the lush green forest, we will experience the tranquility and beauty of nature that is still abundant. This is a place where people often visit to relax and experience the coolness of the amazing atmosphere.

Leaving Kham Chanot, we headed to Ban Chiang, a World Heritage Site of archaeological significance. Ban Chiang is home to the discovery of thousands of years old pottery, as well as the discovery of tools and utensils that show the flourishing of humans in prehistoric times. Walking around the museum and excavations in the area allowed us to learn and understand the long history of this land.

When the feeling of collecting historical experiences is finished, we continue to eat at Suan Isan Cafe @ Ban Chiang. Suan Isan Cafe is located in a shady atmosphere, amidst big trees that help us relax from the journey. The food here is not only authentic Isan food with a spicy taste, but also has a warm atmosphere and impressive service. Feel the friendly welcome of the owner and taste a variety of Isan food such as Somtam, sticky rice, Moo Yor and various local foods that make the stomach full and happy.

Nakha Market After we were full, we continued to Nakha Market, a local market full of local souvenirs and food. Here, there are fresh vegetables, seasonal fruits, and local souvenirs such as silk and handmade jewelry. Anyone who comes here can experience the simple and warm way of life of the Isan people, whether it is buying food or talking to the vendors who always have smiles.

After experiencing the local way of life, we headed to the Udon Thani City Museum, which exhibits the history and culture of Udon Thani from ancient times to the present. The museum is full of antiques that reflect the development and changes of Udon Thani. Inside the museum, there are also exhibits about agriculture, the way of life of Isan people in each era, and trade in the past that was very important to the growth of the city.

Wat Phothisomphon After finishing the museum, we headed to Wat Phothisomphon, an ancient temple with religious and spiritual significance for the Isan people. This temple is home to a large and peaceful principal Buddha image. Inside the temple, there is a beautiful chapel with a touch of Isan art that blends perfectly with Thai architecture. This is a place where many people come to pay homage, make merit, and pray for a better life.

Our trip came to an end at the Thai-Chinese Cultural Center, a place that reflects the good relationship between Thai and Chinese cultures. Inside the center, there are exhibits about the traditions and way of life of the Chinese people in Isan, including performances of Kung Fu martial arts and traditional Chinese cooking that has been passed down from the Chinese people in Udon Thani. Here, we learned about the rich cultural heritage and diverse life experiences of the people in Udon Thani.
After that, we will travel back into Udon Thani city.
