A day in Udon Thani city full of history, culture, architecture and unforgettable memories. Start the first route at Sam Khao Factory. There are many activities inside, such as feeding animals, riding ATVs, paddling duck boats, and riding a car to see the farm. It’s like bringing a zoo to Udon. In addition, this place is also a good choice for a camping site.

Then we went on to Wat Pa Ban Tat to see the beautiful architecture of the church and the pagoda made of marble. Even the walkway is made of marble. And because everything is made of marble, it does not absorb heat. So no matter how hot the sun is, you can walk on the floor cool and comfortable. In addition, there is also a museum of the biography of Luang Ta Maha Bua, the founder of this temple, for you to walk around and see. The atmosphere inside is peaceful and shady. It is a good place to relax.

After that, we went to Wat Phothisomphorn to see the three-tiered pagoda with beautiful murals inside. On the third floor, you can see the view around the temple. The atmosphere is peaceful and cool.

The next stop is the Udon Thani City Museum, which is a place that collects the history of Udon Thani Province from its founding to the present. There is also a statue of Krom Luang Prachaksinlapakhom, the founder of Udon City, as a memorial for the younger generations to remember. Inside, there are various rooms on display, starting from the beginning of Udon City, a room modeling Udon City in each era, a room modeling Udon City’s beliefs from the past that have influenced the present, and a room modeling the Ban Chiang World Heritage Site. Each room reflects the way of life of Udon people from the past to the present.

Then we went on to the Thai-Chinese Cultural Center. The interior decoration is like bringing China to the center of Udon Thani. There are also many activities such as feeding carp, renting photo shoot outfits, and walking around the Confucius Museum. The statue of Confucius in the center of the Cultural Center was carved from white jade marble from Qufu, Shandong Province, Confucius’s hometown, and given to the Cultural Center. The shady atmosphere makes you feel like you’ve entered another world.

And the last stop of this trip is the Pu-Ya Shrine, which is near the Thai-Chinese Cultural Center, a place that is considered the heart of Udon Thani people. Since Udon Thani has many Chinese-Thai people, this shrine is decorated in a genuine Chinese style and is still visited by many people regularly.
