08:40 AM. Arrive at Phu Phra Bat Historical Park, located at the foothills of Phupan Mountain, Muang Phan Sub-district, Ban Phu District, Udon Thani Province. The entire area is within the National Forest Reserve of Khuen Nam. The Fine Arts Department has requested permission to use an area of over 3,430 rai of forest land to designate it as the Phu Phra Bat Historical Park. This park showcases human civilization and changes in the landscape, primarily consisting of sandstone formations created through natural erosion processes, with an age of over 100 million years. It has been registered as the 8th World Heritage Site and the 5th cultural World Heritage Site of Thailand. It is also the second World Heritage Site of Udon Thani, following the Ban Chiang archaeological site, which was designated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1992.

There is a Tourist Information Center and transportation services available for visitors to travel to the Nang Usa Pavilion.

09:40 AM. Depart from Phu Phra Bat Historical Park to Ban Tiw, Muang Phan Sub-district, Ban Phu District.

09:50 AM. Arrive at Ban Tiw community, Muang Phan Sub-district, Ban Phu District. Explore and shop for OTOP products from the community, such as fried bananas, fried taro, and handicrafts.

10:10 AM. Depart for Wat Pa Phu Kon.

11:10 AM. Arrive at Wat Pa Phu Kon, located in the National Forest Reserve of Nayung District, Udon Thani Province, near the border of Udon Thani, Loei, and Nong Khai. The temple is surrounded by lush nature. The highlight of the temple is the Rattanakosin-style Thai vihara, decorated with images of the Buddha’s life, the Ten Incarnations, and the Itipiso chant on white marble. It was built to celebrate the 84th birthday of King Rama IX. Inside, there is the Phra Buddha Sayanasath Loknath Satsada Mahamuni, a 20-meter long reclining Buddha made from white marble imported from Italy, and the Phra Phathomrattanaburapha Chao Maha Chedi, which houses the relics of the Buddha and statues of revered monks. The temple’s beauty is definitely worth a visit.

12:00 PM. Depart for Krua Champa Si Ton Restaurant.

12:20 PM. Arrive at Krua Champa Si Ton Restaurant for lunch. Enjoy delicious food at great prices. The fried rice with shrimp paste is very tasty and packed with ingredients. The som tam with fermented fish is spicy and flavorful, and the fried chicken is served hot and fragrant. The restaurant has a great atmosphere with good parking space, and the service is friendly and welcoming.

1:20 PM. Depart for Phu Tak Seua Viewpoint.

2:20 PM. Arrive at Phu Tak Seua Viewpoint, located in Phatang Sub-district, Sangkhom District, Nong Khai Province. The viewpoint offers stunning scenery, where you can clearly see the daily life of both Thai and Lao people. You can also enjoy a view of the Mekong River and the beautiful landscapes from both the Thai and Lao sides. This site features a glass Skywalk, which is strong and secure, 4 centimeters thick, and can support a weight of about 2,500 kilograms, or approximately 20 people. Additionally, there is the Phu Tak Seua cliff where you can take photos and enjoy the view as well.

2:50 PM. Depart for Na Kha Market.

4:20 PM. Arrive at Na Kha Market, a textile market that is a hub for local souvenirs and handmade products made from various types of fabric, such as silk, cotton, and intricate fabrics dyed with natural colors. The designs and stitching are done by local villagers, featuring unique patterns. The market offers a wide variety of fabric products, including clothes, pants, ready-made outfits, shawls, headscarves, and even fabrics sold by the meter. With over 100 shops, it is a collective effort of local producers and is considered the largest and most comprehensive textile shopping destination in the Northeast region.

4:50 PM. Depart for Nong Prajak.

5:10 PM. Arrive at Nong Prajak, located in the Udon Thani Municipality, on Pao Niyom Road, Mak Khaeng Sub-district. Nong Prajak is a large swamp that has existed since before the establishment of Udon Thani city. It was originally called “Nong Na Kluai” and is situated to the west of the city center. Later, it was renamed “Nong Prajak” to honor General Phra Chao Boromwong Tho, Prince of Prajak Sinlapakhom, the founder of Udon Thani city. In 1987, the Udon Thani Municipality renovated Nong Prajak as a royal tribute to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej on the occasion of his 60th birthday. The island in the middle of the water was turned into a garden with various flowering and decorative plants, and there are bridges connecting the island, a fountain, a clock tower, and a playground, making it a recreational and exercise area for the public. Today, the iconic yellow rubber duck floating in the water has become another landmark in Udon Thani, popular among tourists for photo opportunities.

5:50 PM. Depart for Udon Thani City.

6:00 PM. Arrive at Udon Thani City.
